Terms, footer, and signatures

Control what appears on quote PDFs for terms, footer text, and how clients sign.

Company Legal

Open Settings → Company Legal.

Footer text

Write the default footer text shown on documents. You can include a terms link in the footer and set the URL when that option is on.

Terms & conditions variants

Create one or more T&Cs variants (rich text or PDF, depending on how you set each variant up). Quotes can use the right variant for the job.

If you have no variants yet, Clippter will flag that in setup.

Signature type

Choose the default signature mode for quotes:

ModeMeaning
NoneNo signature step required by default
Signature onlySignature without extra confirmation text
Signature with confirmationSignature plus confirmation

Exact wording for each option is on the Legal settings page.

Personal digital signature

Open Settings → Personal Information.

Draw or upload your signature image. That’s what gets used when documents need your sign-off. Setup may ask for this if it’s still missing.

Assignment confirmation

Some quote types (for example retainers) can include assignment confirmation content or a PDF. Defaults can live with account legal / quote settings; individual quotes may override.

Common mistakes

  • Footer terms link enabled but URL empty: save or send can fail validation.
  • No T&Cs variants: client packs look unfinished or setup stays incomplete.
  • Signature mode set on Company Legal, but no personal signature drawn: PDFs miss the mark.
