Asset labels

Asset labels are workspace-wide tags for the project Assets tab (format, language, cut type, and so on). Create definitions here, then assign them on assets. Without definitions, you cannot usefully filter or tag.

Where

Settings → Project workflow → Asset labels (/settings/project/asset-labels).

Task phases are separate: Task phases.

Create labels

  1. Open Asset labels.
  2. Enter New label → Add.
  3. Rename inline (Label name) when needed.
  4. Delete label asks Delete label? and removes that label from all assets in every project.

Assign on a project

  1. Open a project → Assets.
  2. Open Planning and labels on a row → Labels. Check the labels that apply (summary shows None selected or the names).
  3. For many rows: Labels…, Clear labels, or Replace labels on selected rows.
  4. Filter with All labels or a specific label. Label settings… jumps back to this settings page.

If no definitions exist, the UI hints Add labels under Project → Settings first (or Add labels in settings). Chips under the asset title appear only after you assign labels.

Things that trip people up

  • Expecting a Labels column without creating any definitions.
  • Deleting a label used on many projects without checking.
  • Confusing asset labels with Task phases or rate-card Asset Type metadata.
